Logan Villa, between Barrio Logan and Downtown San Diego, is the site of a 14-unit, upscale for-sale condo project, the Bohemia, now under construction at 961 S 16th St.

Billed as the first posh condo project in the community, San Diego-based developer California Equities Development is also boasting hydraulic car lifts in the units’ attached garages, designed to turn one-car garages into two-car spaces.

Scheduled for completion in the spring of 2007, the Bohemia is located four blocks south of Petco Park and adjacent to the spiffed up East Village. The project will be comprised of three buildings, featuring a California modern, urban and industrial aesthetic and architectural styling, including lots of green space and rooftop decks.

The two- and three-bedroom units, ranging from 1,325 to more than 2,000 square feet, are priced from $545,900 to $832,300, with a low- to moderate-income unit of 510 square feet, with one bedroom and one bath, priced at $184,620.

The project team includes Glenn Wilbor and Greg O. Paquette of California Equities Development, and James Brown and James Gates of Public, a San Diego-based architecture firm. The Maximum One car lifts will be provided by the American Custom Lifts in Escondido.
